Terms of Service

By booking a visit or contacting us for service, you agree to these terms. If anything is unclear, please ask before your appointment.

1. Services

Nexema Tech provides in-home computer repair, tech support, digital security consultation, buying advice, accessibility technology setup, and small business IT solutions in the Repentigny, QC area and surrounding municipalities. All services are performed by a certified, insured technician.

2. Booking and Scheduling

Appointments are arranged by phone, text, email, or our online contact form. A booking is not confirmed until we have replied to your request with a date and time. We reserve the right to decline a booking if the requested service falls outside our area of expertise.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • House call: 50 $ for the first 15 minutes, including travel within the service area.
  • Continuing work: 25 $ per additional 15-minute increment (100 $/h rate), billed in full blocks.
  • Remote / phone support: the first 15 minutes are free. Additional time is billed at the 15-minute rate.
  • Small business retainer: from 290 $/month — terms outlined in a separate service agreement.

All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes. Payment is due at the end of each visit by cash, cheque, or Interac e-transfer.

4. Estimates and Quotes

We provide a verbal or written estimate before any paid work begins. If the scope changes during a visit, we will stop and consult you before continuing. You are never obligated to proceed beyond what was originally agreed.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule at any time at no charge. We ask for as much notice as possible so we can offer the slot to another client. Repeated no-shows without notice may result in a prepayment requirement for future bookings.

6. Data and Device Handling

Before any repair that may affect stored data, we will advise you to back up your files. Nexema Tech is not responsible for data loss that occurs during a repair when a backup was recommended but not completed by the client.

We will never access files, accounts, or applications beyond what is necessary to perform the requested service, and we will not retain copies of your personal data.

7. 30-Day Service Warranty

If an issue we repaired recurs within 30 days of the visit and is directly related to our work, we will return to reassess at no additional labour charge (parts and travel excluded). This warranty does not apply to issues caused by subsequent user actions, software updates, power events, or unrelated hardware failures.

8. Limitation of Liability

Nexema Tech's liability for any claim arising from a service visit is limited to the amount paid for that visit. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data, lost revenue, or hardware failure attributable to pre-existing conditions discovered during a repair.

Nexema Tech carries general liability insurance for in-home work and data handling. A certificate is available on request before any visit.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
